Hello and Welcome! I made this video to help the 1st time card maker to make a card at home. To make a card at home you will need: 8.5 x 11 inch paper. Cardstock will give better results than regular paper, but in a pinch it all works. Envelopes! If you have time — make a trip to Staples or Office Max (not sure Wal Mart will have this) and buy Invitation Size envelopes. Usually the cards are packed as 50 per box. Look to see if you can choose between white and ivory. Buy the cardstock at the same time (or really nice linen paper?) — don’t mix the white and ivory colors if you are a beginner. If you have these invitation size (A2 size — greater than 4.25 x 5.5 inches) envelopes you can make standard greeting cards. See this video how to cut your paper: Tip #3 How to Make a Standard Size Greeting Card www.youtube.com If you do not have invitation size envelopes and want to use small business size envelopes (No. 6 ¾ size) you can still make a card! See this video: Tip #20 – Make Cards that fit envelopes in the House – Small Business Size www.youtube.com Written directions for these 2 cards types can be found on my blog here: A2 Standard Size Greeting Cards: cropwithlisa.blogspot.com Small Business Size Greeting Cards: The written directions are also in the video comments. Good Luck with the decorating! Remember — you can make the card really simple and go for the “classic” or “timeless” look. Lisa CropwithLisa.blogspot.com http

“Jen, I just want you to know that the instructions you give with your card ideas are so easy to follow. And they aren't so elaborate that you can never find the supplies and I can incorporate my own colors with them. Thank you so much.” - Cece Norton, Int'l Falls, Mn, USA
“Your clear instructions have been both inspiring and very helpful to me, a real beginner. Card making is addictive but only if someone has given you both ideas, encouragement and inspiration which you have done. Thank you.” - Pat Drummond, England
